Studio Manager
Key duties will include:
- First point of contact for all enquiries in person, via phone and support email inbox
- Receiving and arranging courier deliveries/collections
- Day-to-day upkeep of our three studios along Dragonfly Place
- Overseeing office supplies, equipment, and technology
- Other related office/studio support
- Customer service
- Helping with shipping out all Special Edition and Rare Book orders for web and trade

Editor
We are seeking a motivated editor to work on and manage books across our wide-ranging list at MACK. This position is suitable for someone with substantial experience of editing and commissioning work in text, image, or other media, within publishing or a comparable context. The successful applicant will manage their own titles, working closely with the Publisher, Commissioning Editors, and wider editorial and production team. We are seeking someone with new ideas, energy, and experience to bring to our expanding list.
Responsibilities will include:
- Project-managing titles in the MACK list from conception through to release, coordinating artists, writers, third-party partners, external editors and designers, and more
- Managing budgets and contracting for projects
- Developing the list as a whole in collaboration with the editorial team
- Liaising with artists and authors and actively seeking new connections
- Copy-editing and proofing texts for books across the list
- Providing manuscript feedback and line edits on text-led books such as DISCOURSE titles
- Managing select co-publication and imprint projects as needed
- Reading and assessing submissions
- Reporting to the accounts team on the budgets of their projects
- Presenting titles to sales and communications teams
- Working with the communications team on events programmes and launches
The successful candidate will:
- Enjoy working closely with artists and writers as well as the whole MACK team to realise projects
- Have a passion for seeking out and developing new projects and relationships
- Have a perfect editorial eye for language, style, grammar, and spelling
- Have a strong knowledge of areas relevant to MACK’s publishing – such as visual art, critical theory, architecture, cinema, and photography – and existing relationships within these fields
- Be well organised and capable of planning and managing work schedules for complex projects within a busy work environment
- Be rigorously detail-minded at every level of project development and able to problem solve and adapt quickly
- Have a strong understanding of MACK’s work within the wider publishing landscape
- Be eager to work with sales, accounts, and communication teams to ensure the success of books
This is a full-time position based in our South East London studio.

Junior Sales & Operations Executive
- Process sales team customer orders and provide tracking for important deliveries
- Ensuring smooth distribution of new title sales material for a team of international sales agents, distributors and customers.
- Coordinating new title and stock transfers to our warehouses
- Updating Nielsen with new and backlist information
- Maintain Edelweiss seasonal catalogues
